WEB DESIGN SERVICE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

QUOTATION

Quotations are provided free of charge and are entirely without obligation. The price quoted to the client is for the work specifically agreed on the quotation only.  Should changes be required after work on the website design has started there may be a surcharge.  Unless otherwise agreed all quotations provided will be valid for 30 days from the date of receipt.

CONTRACT

Once a client has approved a design, and the design work has begun, that shall be deemed a contractual agreement between the client and Web Design Service (WDS).  Payment of the deposit or invoice in full indicates that the client accepts the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

COPYRIGHT  

WDS holds the copyright of any material, including source code and original images created for the client, until payment of the final invoice. On payment of the final invoice we will transfer all copyright directly to the client.

Where the client provides logos, images, text, animations, layouts or any other content for their  website they are legally responsible for ensuring that this material does not infringe any copyright.  Where WDS has supplied the images they may have been purchased under licence from our stock image supplier. These images may only be licensed for use on a website, the client is legally responsible to ensure that any other use of the images does not contravene the licence agreement. 

WEBSITE DESIGN

All our websites are based on our starter website at £100, and then priced according to requirements. All our starter websites are up to 500 mb web space with domain name ownership for 1 year and include up to a 5 page website.  All websites can be upgraded to unlimited web space at any time.

DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION

A £50 deposit is required for WDS to begin the domain name search and registration and the design work for the starter website.  When WDS registers a domain name on the client’s behalf we agree to transfer this domain name to the client immediately on request, or on completion of the website. 

PAYMENT - DEPOSIT

A £50 deposit is required as stated in 'Domain Name Registration' above. The starter website will then be completed for your approval.   Clients should only pay this deposit if they agree to our terms and conditions. Payment of the deposit will be taken as agreement. 

PAYMENT - ADVANCED FEE

On approval of the starter website 50% of the balance is due for the remainder of the website.   For larger websites further staged payments can be made on application. 

PAYMENT - BALANCE

Invoices are only issued when clients accept that their website has been completed to their satisfaction. Payment of the balance is due immediately on completion of the website. We reserve the right not to launch a website until full payment has been received.

PAYMENT METHODS

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is only accepted by credit card, cheque or BACs in UK Pounds Sterling. If your cheque is returned by the bank as unpaid for any reason, you will be liable for a "returned cheque" charge of £35.  Credit card payments are accepted via our Paypal or Google invoicing system.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions your statutory rights are not affected.

WDS reserves the right to change or modify any of these terms or conditions at any time. Should clarification of any of the above be required please contact us.
